Mumlava Waterfall

Mumlava Waterfall is a Krkonoše classic that loses none of its power even after repeated visits. Here, the Mumlava River rushes over a granite step, between boulders and rocky hollows carved into the stone by water over centuries. From Harrachov, the walk here is comfortable, yet the place itself feels much wilder than its short distance from the town would suggest.

Mumlava Waterfall is at its most powerful after rain, during the snowmelt or in winter, when ice formations appear around the water and the whole place takes on a completely different atmosphere. The waterfall is also known for its so-called giant pots – deep hollows in the granite created by flowing water and stones.
