Whether you are looking for natural beauty, historical monuments, or fun for children, you will definitely find the right thing for your adventure here. We bring you several tips for trips that you can enjoy with the whole family.

Harrachov – Waterfalls, Glassmaking and Adventure

One of the places for an ideal family trip in our region is the mountain town of Harrachov, where nature and historical attractions combine. One of the main attractions is Mumlavský vodopád (Mumlava Waterfall), which ranks among the most beautiful waterfalls in the Czech Republic. The path to it is easy and can be managed even by smaller children. The ideal starting point is the bus station, from where it is less than 1.5 km to the waterfall along the yellow tourist route. For little adventurers, there is also the Liščí stezka, an educational trail with interactive elements that introduces life in the forest in a playful way. The trail is located on the left side of the main path, and you certainly won't miss it. You can end the trip with a visit to the famous Novosad a syn glassworks, where children can watch experienced glassmakers at work. If you are looking for even more fun, the local bobsleigh track is also a great choice, guaranteed to be enjoyed by both young and old visitors.

Unter Tage zum größten Höhlensee Tschechiens

Wenn Sie nach einem idealen Ausflugsziel für heiße Sommertage suchen, das auch ältere Kinder begeistert, sind die Bozkower Dolomithöhlen eine hervorragende Wahl. Sie befinden sich am nördlichen Rand der Gemeinde Bozkov und sind voller faszinierender Tropfstein Formationen, schmaler Gänge und geheimnisvoller Ecken. Die Temperatur liegt hier konstant bei etwa 8 °C, was den Besuch zu einer idealen Flucht vor der Sommerhitze macht. Die Höhlenführung dauert ungefähr 45 Minuten und führt zu den interessantesten bisher entdeckten Teilen wie der Mitternachtshöhle (Půlnoční jeskyně) oder dem Piratengang (Pirátská chodba). Die beliebteste Attraktion der Höhlen ist jedoch der größte unterirdische See in der Tschechischen Republik, dessen kristallklares Wasser den Höhlen eine magische Atmosphäre verleiht. Parkplätze stehen direkt in der Gemeinde Bozkov zur Verfügung. Zu den Höhlen gelangen Sie dann nach einem kurzen Spaziergang auf dem blau markierten Wanderweg.

Exploring the Tri-Country Region

The Tripoint lies approximately 24 kilometres from Liberec. It is the place where the borders of three countries – Czechia, Germany and Poland – meet. You will find it less than two kilometres from Hrádek nad Nisou, at the confluence of the Lusatian Neisse and the Oldřichovský Stream, with the national borders running through the middle of both watercourses. The flags of all three countries fly permanently at the Tripoint, together with the blue flag of the European Union. On the Czech side stands a symbolic three-sided granite obelisk, the German side features a cross, while the Polish side is marked by a monument commemorating cooperation between the three countries.
