A visit to Trosky is more than a walk through castle ruins. The path between the remains of medieval fortifications gradually opens up views of Bohemian Paradise, Hruboskalsko, Kozákov, the Jičín area and more distant peaks. The basalt rocks give the castle its raw character and remind you that this landmark was no accident – nature and defensive architecture created one of the strongest images of Northern Bohemia here.
In recent years, Trosky has also attracted fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, in which both the castle and the landscape of Bohemian Paradise became part of the game world. For players, a trip to Trosky is a chance to walk through a place they know from the screen and compare the digital Middle Ages with the real landmark above the landscape.
