Where to wander?

Bohemian Paradise

Bohemian Paradise

Bohemian Paradise is a landscape of sandstone rock towns, viewpoints, castles and romantic trails. Among its best-known places are the Prachov Rocks, Hruboskalsko, Klokočské Rocks, Příhrazské Rocks and Suché skály, where towers, gorges, rock gates and viewpoints create one of the most impressive landscapes of north-eastern Bohemia. The sandstone relief is complemented by volcanic hills, the ruins of Trosky Castle and a landscape that attracts hikers, climbers, families and lovers of wide-open views.

Kokořínsko

Kokořínsko

Kokořínsko is a quiet and slightly mysterious region of sandstone ravines, forest paths, rock formations and romantic landmarks. The area around Kokořín Castle invites visitors into deep valleys, rock dwellings, caves, sandstone towers and the famous Pokličky rock formations, whose unusual shapes are among the region’s most distinctive symbols. Kokořínsko is perfect for slower wandering through a landscape where another rock, viewpoint or trace of old stories may appear around every bend.

Broumovsko

Broumovsko

Broumovsko offers some of the most massive and dramatic sandstone rock towns in Czechia. The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks form a vast world of towering rock walls, spires, gorges and small lakes, while the Broumov Walls add far-reaching views, forest calm and the pilgrimage atmosphere of places such as Hvězda. The Teplice Rocks are known for their long rock walls and gorges, which appear here in a scale rarely found in other rock towns.

Bohemian Switzerland

Bohemian Switzerland

Bohemian Switzerland is a landscape of monumental sandstone walls, deep gorges, rock gates and viewpoints above the Elbe valley. Its symbol is the Pravčická Gate, the best-known natural rock arch in Czechia, but the Jetřichovice viewpoints, the gorges near Hřensko, rock castles and quiet forest trails between sandstone massifs are also well worth exploring. Here, sandstone creates a landscape that feels wild, majestic and almost cinematic – ideal for hiking, photography and slow discovery of the north.
