Eduard Bass, Jiří Janků, Kateřina Dušková We are bringing the legendary novel by Eduard Bass about the glitter of the ring, the sweat backstage, and the power of human dreams to Liberec in a new dramatization written specifically for our drama ensemble. A story about the coming of age of young Vašek, who was enchanted by the world of the big circus – a world where people live on applause, courage, and the determination to do things fully, a world in which only the most persistent survive, where every mistake counts, and where even a fall can hold beauty. Artists, animal trainers, clowns, and all those indispensable people from the circus caravans live and work together for the magic of their art as one living, colorful organism; much like theater people. There will be no shortage of romance, humor, or dramatic moments – and above all, the atmosphere that made us secretly dream of the big circus tent as children.
