Explore the largest park in Liberec with university pedagogue Milan Bouša. Meeting point at the intersection of Ruprechtická and Ruská streets – by the Kamenný květ sculpture.
The park was established between Ruská, Ruprechtická, and Budyšínská streets on the site of one of the city's largest cemeteries, which was closed in 1974. This is where the popular nickname 'Mrtvolky' (Little Corpses) comes from. During revitalization in 2011, the Garden of Memories was created with a stone path symbolizing the Nisa River, into which artifacts from important Liberec buildings are embedded. What are the pros and cons of shady places in connection with the surrounding housing estates? What phenomena make spending time in public spaces unpleasant and how can we work with them? The meeting is part of a loosely connected trilogy. Participation in all parts is not necessary. At the end of each, light refreshments await, where the potential of the visited places will be discussed.
